California shootings 'premeditated' - police

A series of drive-by shootings in the Californian city of Santa Barbara was a premeditated mass murder, US police say.

Santa Barbara County Sheriff Bill Brown said that there was "written and video tape" evidence to suggest the act was premeditated.

The shootings left seven people dead, including the suspected gunman.
