Base jumpers in court for Freedom Tower leap

25 March 2014 Last updated at 12:45 GMT

Recently released video shows three base jumpers leaping from the top of New York's Freedom Tower skyscraper in the middle of the night.

The helmet camera video, recorded last September, has raised questions about security at the site - the scene of the 11 September 2001 terror attacks that left thousands dead.

ABC's Gio Benitez spoke to two of the jumpers, James Brady and Andrew Rossig, to find out how and why they carried out the stunt.
