A Nobel Peace Prize medal from 1936, discovered in a South American pawn shop, is to be sold at auction.

The award was made to Argentina's foreign minister Carlos Saavedra Lamas for his role in negotiating an end to a war between Paraguay and Bolivia.

The medal was lost for years before being bought by an American collector.

John Kraljevich from Stack's Bowers galleries gave his estimation of the object's significance and value.
