Ice storm causes Canada power cuts

Thousands of people across Canada may spend Christmas in the dark after an ice storm swept through eastern parts of the country and the US.

Emergency crews were struggling to restore power after up to 30 millimetres of ice brought down power lines.

This is how Canadian broadcaster CBC is reporting the storm.
