11 October 2013 Last updated at 07:26 BST

Footage has emerged of a flatbed trailer being struck by a train at a crossing in Texas, before it was dragged half a mile down the track.

The driver managed to get out of his rig minutes before the train hit on Wednesday morning in Midland.

There were no reports of any injuries.

It is not known why the truck, which is believed to have been carrying lengths of pipe, had stopped on the tracks.
