What is 'Obamacare', and why do Republicans oppose it?

The US government has gone into partial shutdown over a budget dispute triggered by the Republican Party's attempts to undermine President Barack Obama and the Democrats' healthcare reform programme, dubbed by some Obamacare.

The BBC's Tulip Mazumdar explains what these reforms are and why the Republicans oppose them.
