30 September 2013 Last updated at 14:13 BST

A small jet has crashed into a storage hangar at Santa Monica Municipal Airport in southern California.

Emergency workers have not yet determined how many people were inside the twin-engine Cessna Citation, which can hold eight passengers and two crew members.

Captain John Nevandro from the Santa Monica Fire Department said the metal hangar had "wrapped itself around the plane".

Nik Gowing reports.
