Obama: Navy shooting 'a cowardly act'

President Obama has given a speech on the Washington Navy Yard shooting.

Speaking at the White House, President Obama said: "Today the Navy faced the unimaginable violence they wouldn't have expected here at home."

He called it a "cowardly act" and said that he wants the investigation into the shooting to be "seamless".
