California wildfire: Smoke and flames ravage land

A huge sheet of smoke covered swathes of land near Idyllwild in southern California, as a wildfire swept through the area.

County fire spokesman Mark Annas said about 300 firefighters, four helicopters, and six air tankers, were sent to tackle the fire.

It has burned an estimated 235 acres of land, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
