15 July 2013 Last updated at 16:53 BST

George Zimmerman, the neighbourhood watchman who was cleared of the murder and manslaughter of teenager Trayvon Martin in Florida in 2012, has created a great deal of reaction in the US and beyond.

Protests took place across the US, demanding justice for the family of the 17-year-old and questioning the fairness of the justice system.

Ros Atkins spoke to Kate Farrell, editor of World News America, and journalist Andrée Massiah from the User-Generated Content Hub about the reaction to the controversial case.
