Children muck about for Detroit's annual Mud Day

It was most child's dream come true, a chance to get covered head to toe in sticky brown mud.

That was the scene many mums and dads were confronted with at Detroit's annual Mud Day on Tuesday.

Hundreds of children under 12 were allowed to roll around in the dirt as part of the festivities, as Claire Brennan reports.
