Hong Kong pressed to hand over Snowden

The US is putting pressure on the authorities in Hong Kong, who have been asked to extradite the former intelligence analyst, Edward Snowden.

He fled to the Chinese territory last month and leaked details of a secret US surveillance programme, after which he was charged with spying.
