Silent tribute for Boston Marathon victims

Help

A silent tribute has been held across the state of Massachusetts to remember the three people killed and 180 injured in bomb attacks on the Boston Marathon.

Meanwhile the surviving suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings has been charged with using a weapon of mass destruction, the US Department of Justice says.

David Willis was with crowds observing the silence for BBC News.
