Bus skids off icy road and crashes into lamp post

A large city bus has skidded off an icy road and crashed into a lamppost in Kansas City, Missouri.

A major winter storm in the US Midwest, which has been blamed for two deaths, has blanketed several states in up to 17in (43cm) of snow.

Kansas City airport and more than half of Interstate 70 in Kansas and were closed.

Winter weather warnings and advisories have been issued for most Western states over the weekend.

No-one was injured in the incident.
