Cyber attacks orchestrated by China says security firm

An American computer security company has said it believes a specific Chinese military unit is behind a series of high-level cyber-hacking attacks.

China has frequently been accused of organised hacking but this is the first time that such a direct link has been made.

The foreign ministry in Beijing has dismissed the report as groundless.

Kevin Mandia from Mandiant, said the unit had stolen huge quantities of data, mostly from industry in the United States.
