Republicans urge Obama to rethink tax increases


President Obama has given his first State of the Union address since his re-election, focusing on rebuilding the American economy.

Senator Marco Rubio, a possible 2016 Republican presidential candidate, delivered his party's official riposte.

The Florida senator urged President Obama to "abandon his obsession with raising taxes".
