'We hope her death is not in vain' say shooting victim's parents
The parents of a teenage girl shot dead days after appearing in President Obama's inauguration celebrations have told the BBC that US gun laws have to change.
Hadiya Pendleton, 15, was killed in a park in Chicago in what police believe was a case of mistaken identity.
Despite the soul-searching in the US following the Sandy Hook school massacre, January was the deadliest month for gun crime in Chicago for a decade.
