Joe Biden sworn in as Vice-President for second term
US Vice-President Joe Biden has been sworn in for his second term in office, in a small ceremony at the US Naval Observatory, the Vice-President's official residence.
Surrounded by family, Mr Biden took the oath of office from Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotamayor.
He and President Obama will repeat their oaths of office on Monday during the public inauguration ceremony on Washington's Mall.
