Tornadoes cause havoc on US Gulf Coast

More than a dozen tornadoes slammed into the US Gulf Coast on Christmas Day, destroying homes and plunging tens of thousands of them into darkness.

The powerful winter storm turned roads across the Midwest into icy traps. Forecasters say the worst is not over yet.
