LIVE: President Obama visits Newtown

US President Barack Obama is visiting Newtown, Connecticut, to meet the families of the victims of Friday's school shooting.

20 children and six women died in the assault on Sandy Hook school by a lone gunman who then killed himself.

President Obama is due to address the congregation at an interfaith vigil.
