Caring NYPD officer is internet hit
A police officer in New York has become an internet hit after a photograph of him buying a homeless man a pair of boots was posted on the social networking site Facebook.
Officer Lawrence DePrimo, 25, noticed the shoe-less man in Times Square and bought him a pair of boots with his own money.
The act was caught on film by a tourist and posted online, where it has received thousands of comments.
