Peter King: CIA saw Benghazi as terror plot from start
Former CIA director David Petraeus has testified before Congress in closed session that the attack on a US consulate in Benghazi, Libya, was seen as a terror attack from the start, New York Congressman Peter King has said.
Mr King added that the testimony given by the retired four-star general on Friday seemed to differ from earlier information he had given the House of Representatives Intelligence Committee, which suggested the attack sprang from protests over an anti-Islamic film.
Gen Petraeus resigned from his post last week over an extramarital affair with his biographer.
