Petraeus scandal: Iraq deputy 'disappointed' by him
Lieutenant General Sir Graeme Lamb, who was General Petraeus' deputy during the Iraq war, has told BBC Newsnight that the general's actions have been "inappropriate, unworthy and disappointing".
Gen Petraeus resigned as director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) after acknowledging an extramarital affair.
In his first public comments on the scandal, US President Barack Obama told reporters on Wednesday he had seen no evidence that Gen Petraeus' extramarital affair compromised national security.
Newsnight's Mark Urban reports.
