US election: NY Mayor Michael Bloomberg backs Obama
Barack Obama and his Republican rival Mitt Romney are back on the campaign trail.
The mayor of New York has declared that he's backing President Obama for re-election.
Michael Bloomberg, a former Republican but now a political independent, said Superstorm Sandy helped him make up his mind.
He said he decided that Barack Obama is the best candidate to tackle global climate change.
In the past, he's been critical of both President Obama and Governor Romney.
