After Sandy: Lights out, but NYC cooks up a storm
Superstorm Sandy may have brought parts of New York City to a standstill and left thousands without power, but some of those stranded in Manhattan have not let such problems dampen their spirits.
Restaurants have been serving diners by candlelight, while a mass barbecue in the East Village gave people an opportunity to cook up food from their fridges and freezers before it went bad.
