Hurricane Sandy halts US presidential election campaigns


Hurricane Sandy has disrupted the final stages of campaigning for the US presidential election.

The weather crisis has forced a change of tack for President Obama and his Republican challenger, Mitt Romney.

The BBC's North America editor, Mark Mardell, reports from Florida where Mr Obama had been due to address a rally.
