Middle East to dominate UN summit
In New York, the 67th General Assembly is getting under way, with unrest across the Middle East set to dominate discussion at the summit.
Both Western and Arab leaders are expected to use the meeting of more than 120 world leaders to push for action.
Meanwhile, President Barack Obama has condemned violence and extremism as he addressed the assembly.
