US shuttle Endeavour makes final air show
US space shuttle Endeavour is making a flypast of California landmarks, in a final air show before it heads for display in Los Angeles.
Piggy-backing on a modified Boeing 747 jet, the 75-ton ship will fly low over the California state capitol, Golden Gate Bridge and the Hollywood sign.
At the Griffith Observatory, overlooking the Hollywood Sign, throngs of people camped out on beach chairs and blankets, waiting for the flyover.
The BBC's Alistair Leithead reports from there.
