Help

Henry Hill, the career criminal whose exploits on the fringes of New York's Lucchese crime family inspired the film Goodfellas, has died of heart failure.

He was 69 and lived the last years of his life in Los Angeles.

Joe Coffey met Mr Hill when he was the Commanding Officer of the New York Organised Crime Task Force and told BBC Radio 5 live Up All Night if Mr Hill was like the character depicted by Ray Liotta in the Scorsese film.
