US Republican hopeful Romney rejects same sex marriage
Days after President Obama expressed his support for same sex unions, his likely challenger, Mitt Romney, has said marriage should only be between a man and a woman.
Mr Romney, a Mormon, was given a standing ovation by graduates at Liberty University, a Christian college in Lynchburg, Virginia.
He has so far struggled to gain support from evangelical Christians in his campaign for the Republican ticket.
