Oakland mayor speaks of city's 'hurt' after shooting
The whole community of Oakland will be hurting after seven people were killed in a shooting at a college, the city's mayor has said.
Jean Quan called for the city to support the Korean community, where many of the victims were from, and "bring peace back to the city".
After a huge manhunt the suspect was detained at a shopping centre in the nearby city of Alameda, police said.
Oikos University is a private religious institution offering courses in theology, music and nursing.
