Newt Gingrich: Romney nomination 'no longer inevitable'

Newt Gingrich says the prospect of Mitt Romney winning the Republican Party nomination to take on President Barack Obama is "no longer inevitable".

He was speaking to supporters in Alabama, where Rick Santorum won the Republican primary in addition to Mississippi.

In Alabama, Mr Santorum was on 35%, with Newt Gingrich in second place and Mitt Romney trailing in third.
