Continue donating to charity, says Bill Gates

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has called for wealthy countries to continue helping the world's poor, in his annual 'State of the World' letter.

Mr Gates said the current financial turmoil could cause people in developed countries to forget those in need.

He stressed the need to continue funding intiatives such as those that provide malaria protection nets and Aids drugs.
