US President Barack Obama announces Iraq withdrawal
US President Obama has announced the withdrawal of all American troops from Iraq will be complete by the end of the year.
He said he and Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki were "in full agreement about how to move forward".
The drawing down of the remaining 40,000 US servicemen in Iraq will end the US's eight-year campaign in the country.
