    Disagree.

    It was a great speech.

It won't reduce chances of re-election.
The groups it offends (e.g., Big Oil; Likud/AIPAC; S. Arabia) have already pulled out all the stops to defeat him.

To them, he throws down a gauntlet: "Do your worst. We killed Bin Laden all the same."

Might as well be hung for a sheep as a lamb.
And Obama is standing up for democracy while doing it.

    All good.

6 The US problem is different from the Irish problem. The US problem could be resolved but a necessary component is increase of the national debt limit, something the Republicans won't agree to until they are convinced there is an acceptable long range plan.Default on Irish debt could wreck the Euro,no real solution in sight.Default on US debt WILL destroy the entire financial system of the world.

"Geitner is kiting checks robbing Peter to pay Paul.IOUs to govt pension funds to pay bonds."

The Irish government have been "investing" the National Pension Fund in their bust banks. Only last week another chunk flew into that pit.

The speech IMO was pure trash.Absolutely worthless empty rhetoric that ignores reality. His bombshell about the conflict betwen Israel and the Palestinians will only enrage Isreal more.It will likely kill whatever feeble chances for peace are left and Obama's chances for being re-elected.Better tend to your country's own business Mr. President or you wont have a country left to tend to much longer.

    "Words, Words, Words,
    I'm so sick of words,
I get words all day through,
First from him now from you,
Is that all you blighters can do?"

    Liza Doolittle

Maybe we should also attribute it to Barack Do Little
