Barack Obama begins 10 day tour of India

President Barack Obama has arrived in India at the start of a 10-day trip to Asia aimed at boosting exports and creating US jobs.

He visits Mumbai and New Delhi before travelling to Indonesia, where he lived as a youth, South Korea for the G20 summit, and finally Japan.

The BBC's Sanjoy Majumder said the president would be staying at Mumbai's Taj Hotel, which was one of the sites of the city's terror attacks.
