US pastor Terry Jones cancels Koran burning event
US pastor Terry Jones has called off plans by his small Florida church to burn hundreds of copies of the Koran on 9/11 attacks.
The plans had triggered a global travel warning from the US State Department and criticism from President Barack Obama.
The pastor said he was calling off the burning after the group behind a planned Islamic centre close to Ground Zero in New York agreed to relocate it.
President Barack Obama had warned Mr Jones the event would be "a recruitment bonanza" for al-Qaeda.
