Barack Obama announces ambitious US infrastructure plan
President Obama has announced plans to spend tens of billions of dollars on a huge infrastructure project to create jobs and boost confidence in the American economy.
Speaking at an event in Milwaukee marking the Labor Day holiday in the US, Mr Obama introduced plans to invest in roads, railways and airports as well as high-speed rail links which have previously been considered underfunded.
