Release of Afghan-Iran film The School blocked in Kabul

Help

Afghan authorities have prevented the domestic release of an Afghan film called The School, about the life of an Afghan refugee girl in Iran.

Based on a true story, it is the tale of her struggle for an education after she is refused a school place while her citizenship status remains undecided.

The film's maker has accused Iran of interfering to stop the release, but an Afghan minister has rejected the claim.

Karen Zarindast reports.
