Anti-corruption campaign gathers force in India


India's former telecommunications minister, who has been charged in connection with a multi-billion dollar telecom corruption scam, has appeared in court.

Andimuthu Raja is accused of cheating, conspiracy and selling mobile phone licenses to firms for bribes. He denies any wrongdoing.

The issue of corruption has become a major talking point in India, forcing the government on the defensive.
