Audio slideshow: Praying through dance

Navratri is the Hindu festival of dance which leads up to Diwali. Navratri takes the form of prayer through song and dance. More than 500,000 Hindus live in the UK - with nearly three-quarters of them originating from western India where Navratri is a strong tradition.

Participants travelled from across the country and abroad to the city of Leicester to take part in the recent celebrations.
