Iraq crisis: Yazidi community talks of escape from Sinjar

15 August 2014 Last updated at 17:10 BST

Still reeling from their plight, Yazidis in Iraq have been giving their account of the fighting that led to their displacement from Sinjar.

Over a million Iraqis remain displaced from their homes since IS began its offensive, the UN says.

The BBC's Rami Ruhayem reports.
