'Iraq army needs militias to beat Isis' - Shia militia leader

The Iraq army will not be able to defeat the Sunni-led militant fighters of Isis without support from Shia militias, the leader of League of the Righteous has said.

Sheikh Qais al-Khazali told the BBC's Jeremy Bowen that his group was also attempting to reconcile the sectarian groups, rather than see the break-up of the country.
