Egypt election: Sisi vows end to Muslim Brotherhood

Abdul Fattah al-Sisi, the Egyptian presidential favourite and former army chief, has vowed that the banned Muslim Brotherhood group "will not exist," should he win the country's presidential election.

In his first interview with Egyptian TV, he added that two assassination plots against him had been uncovered.

Mr Sisi denies he had any political ambitions when he removed Egypt's first democratically elected President Mohammed Morsi from power in July 2013, launching a crackdown on the Brotherhood.
