Why Jerusalem's al-Aqsa mosque is so holy

As the Christian festival of Easter and Jewish holiday of Passover converge, a surge in pilgrims is expected in Jerusalem, home to sites revered by the three major monotheistic faiths.

Sheikh Azzam al-Khatib al-Tamimi explains the importance of the city's al-Aqsa mosque to Islam, as well as the neighbouring Dome of the Rock, a major holy place to all three religions.
