Pakistan and Afghanistan reach deal over Taliban talks

The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif, has pledged to help the Afghan President, Hamid Karzai, forge a peace settlement with the Taliban.

A deal between the leaders has been reached to arrange more meetings between Afghan officials and a former Taliban commander.
