Backlash fears over US raid in Libya

Libyans have taken to social networking sites to give their reaction to a US special forces raid targeting a senior Islamist militant.

Anas al-Liby, an al-Qaeda leader accused of the 1998 bombings of the US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, was seized in Tripoli.

In a separate raid a leader of the al-Shabab group was targeted in southern Somalia, but that mission appears to have failed.

Rana Jawad in Tripoli says there are fears of a backlash by extremist groups who may consider the US raid a violation of Libya's sovereignty.
