Vladimir Putin 'hopeful' Syria will destroy chemical weapons

Russian President Vladimir Putin said he was hopeful Syria would destroy destroy its chemical weapons - but he was not 100% certain.

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has said he is committed to the plan, but warned it could take a year. The Syrian leader has agreed to join the Chemical Weapons Convention.
