Assad forces fighting rebels in Christian town Maaloula

Syrian government forces have been fighting rebels in the historic Christian town of Maaloula.

There are reports that Assad's forces have recaptured the town.

Jeremy Bowen is in Maaloula and he said "churches desecrated by Nusra but big crosses and statues of Virgin Mary are intact".
