Syrian government derides Obama decision

The Syrian government has derided US President Obama's speech on Saturday, in which he called for Congress to support military action against Syria.

The Deputy Foreign Minister said Mr Obama showed hesitation, confusion and disappointment.

Meanwhile, France has said it will not act alone in taking action against last month's suspected chemical weapons attack in Damascus.
